The spelling (Claborn) is unusual and my greatgrandfather, Jasper Claborn (b.1871 ARK)said he and his brothers Benjamin (b.1862) and John (b.1874) decided to simplify the spelling from Claibourn. Their father Richard P. Claibourn, age 52, was listed as head-of-household, Sugarloaf Township, Sebastion County, ARK 1880 census. Jasper said anyone spelling the name 'Claborn' was likely related. I believe decendents of Benjamin and John settled in Oregon or Washington. Jasper's son, Howard is buried in Riddle, Oregon. He had no children. Jasper's daughter, Clara Elizabeth Thomas (8/7/94-2/8/75) had 5 children. She is buried in Quinton, OK
