His mothers name was Julia O'Brien. My grandfather was born and raised in Lewiston, Maine USA. At this time I am still searching for more information on my GreatGrandfather and his family.

I just stumbled on this mail item and as I am from Longford Ireland I thought it would be interesting to send this mail and see who is the person at the other end that I may be related to.
I see that the original mail item is several years old and so there may not be a valid adress to recieve this.

So if the original Clabby is still at this address then let me have a reply and lets see who we are.

Kevin Clabby.

John,

I wrote to you in 2006 and as I had not set up an alert I did not know of your reply. I have just stumbled on the reply sitting there for the last three years and so i am replying again.
i said before that I am from Longford but my grandfather Tom Clabby was from a place called Erra and it is quite close to Strokestown, Co. Roscommon. His brother ,or maybe more than one went to USA and settled in Montana and some of my family have met those decendants. My fathers first cousins have all died at the old home at Erra. If there is a connection I could do a little research and find out more. Strokestown is only 15 Kilometers or so from Erra and it is just off the main road between Strokestown and Longford and near the Village of Tarmonbarry on the River Shannon.
