This family interests me a great deal. I am a descendant of Tristram Bethea THOMAS and Mary Hill BROWN and then through their son, Philip Hill THOMAS and Mary Virginia HAGGARD. P.H. and M.V. had a son Theodore S. (or maybe his middle name is Haggard) THOMAS, I have seen his middle name both ways. Anyway, he married Elizabeth CLABAUGH. I only today discoved that her last name was NOT Chabaugh. I think she is probably the daughter of John CLABAUGH and his wife, Mary __?__. This John CLABAUGH was apparently the son of John CLABAUGH and Elizabeth HAGGARD. Can anyone point out the mistakes in this, or perhaps, confirm it? I know that a lot of this information came from a very unreliable source.
Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Hi Delores,
Elizabeth Clabaugh Thomas was my great grandmother. Her father was the Rev. John Clabaugh and mother was Mary McAnally. I do not know where you got that she was not a Clabaugh, but she was. I will be happy to share with you any info I have. I am particularly interested in following the Thomas line.
Thanks for any info you can share.

Sherry,
I am SO GLAD to find you!! When I was first given Theodore THOMAS' wife's name it was given to me as Elizabeth CHABOUGH. For the longest time I searched for this name and never could find a single one. Finally when I got some list or other...I forget what now...and saw CLABAUGH I knew immediately that it must be the correct version of the messed up name that I had originally. And then I was able to do a little research on it. You have already about doubled what I had found on my own!!
I will gladly give you any THOMAS info that you would like. That is my main interest in this line. My mother was a THOMAS. Let me know what you need to know or where you are stuck and I will gladly fill in for you!
The only McANALLY I have ever known was John McANALLY, the Ag. teacher in Hondo, TX where my parents taught school, as well.
Hey, cousin...SO NICE to meet you!
