Looking for Civita and Di Civita families. I live in Brazil and my family came from Italy in 1901.

My grandfather is Vincent Civita and he is from Sicily, Italy. But was raised in Boston, MA. Some family still live there but we don't know them.

My grandmother's surname was Civita. Her relatives came from Italy late in the 1800's. She had, I believe, 12 brothers and sisters, many of whom are still alive. Some live in New York, Florida, and California. Please E-Mail me if there's anything else I can help with.

It is interesting to see others who are curious about the Civita nam. I have never known a Civita who was not related. My granparents came from Italy in the 1920's, and moved to Boston, but my Grandfather and his brothers soon had to leave because of a disagreement and a all out fight with the locals. They then moved to New York and became builders and farmers. We have family in New York, Boston, and Florida.

Where do your family comes from in Italy???

I think Triest, and Marca. If I spelled them right.

Hi there... I am doing a high school project tracing my family history and immigration to America. So far I know that my great-grandparents came from a town in Italy called Venarota near a city which I think was called Ascole Picene. Then moved to Boston and then to Forest Hills in Queens NY. If you have any further information I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much.
