I think I have a bit more information that may help you with your research. I actually knew your grandfather. He lived next door to my grandparents. His address was 204 Proctor Avenue, Elkland, Pennsylvania, 16920.
His birth name was Pasquale Giacondino. He later took the name Civetta when he was informally adopted and raised by my grandfather (John Cevette) and his wife (Philomena), sometime between 1915 and 1920. The family was known as "Civetta" until the late 1920s when naturalization papers demonstrate a change in the spelling to "Cevette". I knew him as "Patsy Cevette" growing up.
I am confident that you are correct on his birthplace was Castevetere del Val Fortore, provincia Bene Vento, Italia, a place I have visited personally in my research. I cannot confirm his birthdate. It could be 1905.
His son, Perry, was my 7th grade teacher. His great-grandson is a pitcher for one of the minor league baseball teams, I believe associated with the Cleveland Indians.
Your grandfather's house is still lived in (as of 4 years ago when I was last in Elkland.)
John Cevette
