Would your Nicola Civetta b. 1889 be a brother to Domenic Civetti b.1895 d. 1989, who married Maria Pasquala Bibbo b.1893 d.1983 ? This is their wedding photo, taken in Newton, Mass. in 1917. The people in it were named by their daughter, Antoinetta Civetti. Do you recognize anyone else in the picture?

Perry the teacher was my uncle Nicks son. Nick was Pasquale's son. Danny Perry's grandson was in the minor leagues but I don't think he is anymore. I haven't heard any other info though I could find out.
John, I remember you grandmother Filamena. She was a very nice lady. My dad referred to your uncle Patsy as his cousin. I loved your uncle Patsy he always hung out in my dads shoe shop.

I know why my grandfather went to Italy because my father went too. This is when my father had to legally change his name from Giacondino to Cevette. Legally my grandfathers name was Giacondino. My grandfather and my father went to Italy by boat and I think they went to find wives. My grandfather knew Angelina and he married her in Italy. My father met my mom and then went back to Italy to marry her. I have been to Benevento many times. I am planning to go again because I have family there. My uncle used have a government job until he retired. I could ask him to get any information that you are looking for. Just let me know.
