Hi

Before we exchange any family information...www.dna.ancestry.com has a $79 special to test your YDNA. With this test you can see if you are a match. If it matches mine, I can give you what I have on this Ciuffo family. I got my results in one week. Please take advantage of this special because this will help you connect and hopefully answer most of your family history questions.

My Ciuffo family left the port of Naples, Fl in 1888. That is only a few miles from Salerno. Have you had your YDNA done yet? If not, www.dna.ancestry.com has a $79 special. Mine took one week to get the results back. I would strongly suggest you have this test done. If we are related, I will send you what I have on this family.

John, you may not be Italian at all. www.dna.ancestry.com has a special right now for $79 to test your YDNA. My family came from Italy and thought we were Italians, but the test showed otherwise. If you get your YDNA, I will be happy to compare to see if related.

From family folklore, they said that in looking to improve their quality of life, some of their family and neighbors were leaving Naples, Italy. Some went to Uruguay,to South America, and Africa (can't remember what part). It was even mentioned that my descendants teetered between those countries before finally settling on New York. From there some stayed, some moved to Connecticut, to Florida, and scattering across the country to California.

I would love for a Cuiffo descendant to take a YDNA test...can't beat the price www.dna.ancestry.com is offering at $79 for over 35 markers. If you decide to participate, let me know, if we match, I can give you what I have on our descendants.

Yes Im Barrett Ciuffo. My grandfather was Louis Samuel Ciuffo. His Father Giovanni Ciuffo immigrated from Grumento Nova, Italy around 1910-1913. In the town I live there is 2 Ciuffo families. One of them is my same age and we have been trying to see if maybe we are actually distant cousins but my elder members of the Ciuffo family have deceased. The last one was last March at the age of 92. She was my grandfathers sister. Except for some things my grandfather told me when I was little I have no knowledge of my family background.
