Need info on William Citizen, Sr. He came to Louisiana from North Caralina and married Agnes/Agathe Hebert in March, 1920 (2nd marriage). He had 3 sons with his 1st wife and 11 children with his 2nd. All of the children were born in Church Point, La. He died in October, 1941 in CP. Thanks for any info.

My grandfather Lezime Citizen and my father Gurvis Citizen was born in Church Point. My father was born in 1921. They moved to Kinder La. My grandfather is deceased but my father still resides in Kinder. I will ask him if he remember William Citizen.

Thanks for the input

I got some old papers from my aunt and went through them with my grandmother today. Here's what she said: the Lesime she remembers was the son of "nonc Joe-Jah" (forgive the spelling, I'm trying to use phonics; she doesn't know many of the real names). Nonc Joe-Jah and her father, William, (you would have heard of him as "nonc Waht" were brothers. Also brothers were: "nonc B" and "nonc dahl" (Joseph)---all four were Citizen's. Lesime also had a brother named Eli who married Beatrice Bellard and had a daughter Shirley in 1941. Let me know if this coincides with your info. If it does; we're about 4th cousins. You may contact me directly at -kalmel@centurytel.net-.

Just getting back to the citizen board; forgive my absence... Are you "Schwette"? I remember an Antoinette, and I think that was a nickname. Hope you're still here. Let me know.

Go to the web site Mundia. Com and you'll find info about our ancestors. I did, but I still have an inquiring mind.
