What i am wondering about is where he and his parents are from. I am hoping to stumble across our family history which most won't talk about. I was once told by an older cisco that when she asked about the name changes in the family she was told it was done to avoid the law and to leave it at that. Needless to say it sparks my curiosity.

ok I rethought my response

OK Mr Freeman Hill, if you could put me in touch with any of woodrow's kids then how about Marvin? I really miss him after all he was my dad. How's that for a response? Lisa, your opinion please?? :)btw Karen will be down today.

My aunt says that my (woodrow) grandfather's granfather was named marion. They all lived in WVa could these be the same ones? We have distant cousins who we can't figure out our relation to. One of them was named Harley. See Lisa Cisco Scott and Rita Allen' postings. If you wish you may write me for more info at Astrltravlnhotty@aol.com

Ann I might be able to help with some of your questions regarding the Cisco roots and the do's don'ts. My grandfather was Thomas Cisco and his father was Champion Cisco and I know the story of the name change in the past. I even know some history of some of the wives of the Cisco's and brothers and sisters and so forth. My father is one of the "old Cisco's" of Beech Creek and is still alive and knows quite a bit about the family and how it came to be. If I can help i'd be more then happy. My grandfther was James H. Cisco (Born 1868, died 1954)of Wanaque, NJ. He had 5 children by first marriage to Annie Smith. My father was one his son and named Russell Cisco(born 8/12/08.) Other children were Herman, Harry, Alice and Beatrice. All are now deceased. All I know is that the name was changed and probably because of some legal issue. Anyone with information or aware of background on James H. please respond.
