Bonjour Jacques:

I can trace my Circe family back to Francois Circe and Anne Veron.

I have a picture of my great-grandparents, Walter Circe and Emma Lefebvre, taken in North Adams, MASS. Since they were born in Laprairie, Quebec, I've alway wondered why the picture was taken in North Adams.

When I saw your posting, I wondered if you knew why the Circe family moved to North Adams.

Any info would be appreciated.

Au revoir
Laurie Nolan

Hi Michel -

From what ive found so far -
my great-great grandfather Clement Poyer
(aka Clement Royer/Rodier) was married to a Pauline St-Michel Circe (aka Circe St Michel). She was married to him prior to 1849. She died early in the marriage and had no children. Pauline's brother was a witness at Clements second marriage to Mathilde
(aka Natalie) Terrien which took place 2/20/1849 in Stuckley, Quebec, Canada. They may have been from the Ste Hyacinthe region of Quebec. If you have any information on any of them and their forebears id appreciate it .
I can be emailed at Forpsyt@aol.com
Thanks, Jim

Wayne,
My Sofie St. Michael's parents were Alexis and Apolline Fugere-Champagne, she was b. June 18, 1833, doesn't look like a match. Her family was from Varennes, Vercheres, Quebec. Thanks for responding. Let me know if there is a connection.
