Dear Marianne,
Yes, I am Frank and Yola's daughter. I last saw you at Amy's son Michael's wedding last year. How are you? I didn't realize you were researching your family also. I wish I had talked to you then about your mother's family. I had spoke to her last year regarding the Pepitone family (it is actually Pipitone). I had a difficult time finding any information on the Pipitone family because I was searching in Palermo but they were originally from Misilmeri, a town about nine miles from Palermo. I have some information on Pietro's ancestors, his father was Angelo married to Marianna Baudo. I have more information on both sides. I use the Family History Center at the local Mormon church and they have microfilms of thousands of records from Italy. I will put together what I have so far and send it to you if you would like. I have gotten as far as the great-great-great grandmother-father. I am working on deciphering the spelling of some of the names.
I guess you know Uncle Russ is not doing to well. Grace was in NY to see him a few weeks ago and I believe she is planning on going back within the next few weeks. Although, I think he did improve somewhat.
I look forward to hearing from you and hope I can be of some help.

Connie

Dear Connie,
I remember seeing you at the wedding. At that time, I was not researching the family. Since then, I was trying to find out where my Grandmother, Grace, was buried. This is what started my search. I finally found her, today. She is not buried with her husband, but rather with her Mother and Father in Cavaly in Woodside.

Do yo have a birth certificate of your Grandmother showing the name as Pipitone? My Grandfathers records all show him as Pepitone.

From what my Mother tells me, Pietro was the only brother of 4 or five sisters. She always told me that her father's sister's sons were doctors and they moved to the Boston Area.

I have not gotten as far as you and if you would email me the file I would certainly appreciate receiving it. Yesterday, I went to the New York Public Library at 42nd Street and was looking for a marriage date for my grandparents. But I don't have a date and could not find anything under either "Pipitone" or "Pepitone".

Connie, I have great memories of your Mother and Father when I was a young girl. Our parents were always very close, visiting each other all the time. They were both great people and your father was always full of fun. Your Mother was more serious than him but she was a super nice person. Never heard her say anthing negative about anyone.

Glad that we can connect and will share any information that I encounter.

My Mother told me about her Brother being in a wheelchair and I feel very sorry that he has come to that. He also has always been a nice uncle. We have not seen much of each other in these last years, because of the distance of our homes. My Mother does not like to take any long trips and so it makes it difficult to keep up with everyone.

Again, great to hear from you and will be in touch.

Love

Marianne

Dear Marianne,

Yes, I do have some information with my grandmother's name with the spelling as Pipitone. I received some information from writing directly to Misilmeri. If took some time to get a reponse, but I did receive it. I e-mailed them and also received a response. I just e-mailed them again about two weeks ago, as of yet I haven't heard anything. Please e-mail me at Connieg32@hotmail.com and I can send you whatever I have that you would like.

Regards to your mother and family.

Connie

Do you have any information on a Joseph Cipolla who lived in Dansville or Mt Morris area over the last 100 years?

I have a bunch of Loncao/Cipolla relatives I'm researching. Joseph may or may not have a father named Sam Cipolla and a half brother named Sam?

Joseph married Dora Loncao and had 2 children, Margaret and Thomas Cipolla.
