My grandmother's madien name was Cioffi. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 14, 1911. I know that her father was named John and mother was either Rose or Mary. My grandmother did have many brothers and sisters, I believe there were 12 children in all. I would love to learn more about her family.

My family came to America in the early 1900's. The stories I have heard and the family crest I saw indicates that Naples is where the family lived. I am unsure if Cioffi is a common name in Italy or not...could be like Smith. But it is definitely not common here.

My local family is from Pennsylania. Relatives that I know of are from---PA, New York, California, Kentucky, I have recently met people of same last name and ancestry from Cern. Italy. They know their relatives in Italy and have gone to see them many times. My father, Dominick, came from Italy to the United States. Please reply

We believe our family: Cioffi, grandfather came from cervinara. His name is Enrico. He married before he came to the Boston area in the early 1900's. My father Joseph, his son, was born here in 1915. My grandmother's maiden name is something like Juliani. still getting correct spelling on that. We are visting the area beginning in November to do some research on our family ancestry.

Hello,

I just found out my grandmother Giovanni Cioffi was born on 8/22/1885 in Cervinaro Italy. As far as I know he had two brothers who also came over to American Duilio and Guiseppe. He had two sisters, I believe who stayed in Italy.
