Dug out my info. Ellen "Nellie" McLaren b. Oct. 21, 1895 in Coatbridge, Lanark Co., Scotland. d. Jan. 28, 1965 in Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle, Lawrence Co., PA. Buried Jan. 30, 1965 in Mt. Jackson United Presbyterian Cemetery, Mt. Jackson, Lawrence Co., PA. Married William Ridenbaugh in 1925. He was b. Aug. 10, 1893 in Somerdale, OH. d. Nov. 10, 1968 in Jameson Hospital. Also buried in Mt. Jackson UP Cem.

Mrs. William Ridenbaugh, 70, of 236 N. Walnut St., the former Ellen McClaren, died at 12:50 a.m. today in Jameson Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, Oct. 21, 1895, to the late William and Margaret Porteus McClaren. She had been married 40 years to William Ridenbaugh.
She was a member of First Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are her husband in New Castle; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ethel) Cifra of Glendora, Calif.; a son, Jack Ridenbaugh of New Castle; and five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Roundtree; a son, William Ridenbaugh in 1938, and four brothers.
The family will receive friends at the William F. DeCarbo funeral home, 926 Cunningham Ave., from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. R.G. Mohrman of First Pentecostal Church officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Jackson UP Church Cemetery.
William Ridenbaugh Obit New Castle News Nov. 11, 1968
William John Ridenbaugh, 75, of 1923 Underwood St., died at 1:40 a.m. yesterday in the Jameson Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 10, 1893, in Somerdale, Ohio, to George Matthew and Elizabeth Warren Ridenbaugh. He was employed for 12 years at teh Crane Co. and retired 10 years ago as custodian of the Greer Building. His wife, the former Ellen McClaran, died in 1965. Mr. Ridenbaugh was a member of the Firs Penetcostal Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ethel) Cifra of Lyndora, Calif.; a son, Jack of New Castle; two brothers, Walter and Floyd both of New Castle; three sisters, Mrs. John (Beulah) Parks of Sparrs Point, Md., Mrs. John (Amanda) Hangst of Ellwood City and Mrs. Helen Smith of New Castle; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ridenbaugh was preceded in death by a brother, Ambrose, in 1966.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in the William F. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. David B. Owens, pastor of the First Pentecostal Church.
Burial will be in Mt. Jackson UP Cemetery.
Nellie's parents, if you don't have the info, were William McLaren and Margaret Porteous. Though not very good, I have a photograph of Margaret. William died in Scotland. Margaret came to New Castle, and lived in a rather large white house that is still on the st. behind Pizza Hut, if you are from New Castle.
Her brother, John "Scotty" Frederick McLaren was my Great-Grandfather.
