Tom Have you taken a look at Ancestry.com. I have posted my database there. Giusppe Cifelli (myGF) came to R.I. in 1884. I would be interested in an exchange of information re: Cifelli's

My grandfather was Franklin Delano Cifelli. He was a veteran of WWII and resided in Batavia, NY until 1987 when he and my grandmother Irene Mary Hilburger Cifelli moved to Nashville, TN. Irene died in March, 1988 and Frank died in October 1999. Frank had five siblings, which included 2 sets of twins. Jimmy and Frank were twins, sister Mary and two other brothers who were also twins. I don't know much about my ancestry but would like to.

Hi, I can tell you a lot about the Cifelli's if you are interested. My husband and I travel every year to Guasto and Castelpietroso. This is the "heartland" for Cifelli ancestry in Italy.

Our family comes from an area not far from Venafro. Guasto is also in the Appenines; approximately 10 kilometers away. Did your mom go from Venafro to Scotland?f so, where in Scotland can Cifelli's be found.

I don't have any history on the Cifelli's. My grandfather died in 1999, my grandmother in 1988 and my mother in 2000 so I have no one left from that side of the family to ask. I know my grandfather was 100% Italian and he met my grandmother in Buffalo, NY back in the 1930's. They married July 2, 1938 but there was a lot of mystery around their marriage. They told everyone they married in October, 1940. My grandmother was married to an abuser who kicked her out and wouldn't let her see her kids. Apparently, they never divorced and she married my grandfather and they had one daughter in 1942, my mother. That's all I know.
