Re: make contact with me please..........
Reference your knowledge of the Cieklinski name. My great great, great grandmother's name, was Katarzyna Cieklinska. She married a Andrzej Woltosz in 1871 in Jasionka, Poland. They in turn had a son named Wincenty Woltosz who was the father of my grandfather, Michal Woltosz. He was born in 1878. I believe that they were the original owners of that area of Jasionka called Woltoszowa. My grandfather's mother's maiden name was Brygida Bek who was the daughter of Franciszek Bek and Zofia Welcer. I'm guessing but I would bet that the Bek name came from the Swedes who were prisoners of war in five camps around the Jaslo area during and after the 30 years war. They decided to settle in southern Poland rather than trek back to Sweden. (No trains, no planes or buses) The Welcer name is probably Austrian but Polonized since the Welker name is popular around Bad Ischl. That family were probably colonists from Austria after the epidemics which devastated that area of southern Poland. Hopefully this information can shed further information on the Cieklinski name.

Re: make contact with me please..........
Dear Tad, I presently live in the Allentown, Pennsylvania area but was originally born in Scranton, Pennsylvania USA. Both granparents on either side came to this town as miners which also had a large population of Poles, Slovaks, Russians, Italians and Germans. It was a place to start and build a life. My father and mother were first born here. My father was a barber and my mother was a Registered Nurse. My father had three boys, Paul(Pawel), Peter (Piotr) and John (Jan) Peter and I have Masters and John owns an auto business. We each have three children and all have Batchelors Degrees and two have Masters. I'm retired from Civilian industry with 8 1/2 years in the USAF as a Captain. If there is anything you want to know feel free to contact me. We have done well in this country and came from good stock. Sincerely, Paul

Re: make contact with me please..........
Hi My gr-gr grandmother was Pauline Cieklinski. She was born Jul 22, 1860 and married Anton Gryszkiewicz in 1877. He was born Feb 23, 1850. They were from Grodno, Poland and were German Polish. Pauline's parents were John Cieklinski and Victoria Drost. Anton and Pauline immigrated to the United States around 1880 and brought Victoria with them. I believe that other family members immigrated too. They settled first in the area of Winona, MN and later went into northwestern MN, to the area of Florian, MN. Does anyone recognize any of these names? I am hoping to find relatives and learn more about the family before they left Poland.
