Most of my key relatives eventually ended up in Paris Twp, Huron Co, MI. My gr-grandfather was Ambrose Ciechanowski who married Frances Polk who was the daughter of Francis Polk and Josephine (Josefa) Slawik. Ambrose was the son of Thomas (Tomasz) Ciechanowski and Francisca Dobecka. My grandfather, Peter Ciechanowski (later changed to Chinoski), was one of the children of Ambrose and Frances. Peter's wife, my grandmother, was Catherine Lemanski. The parents of Catherine were Peter L. Lemanski and Magdalena Nowicki.

My gr-grandfather was Ambrose Ciechanowski who came to Michigan (probably through Quebec and Ontario) about 1854. He was one of the founders of Parisville, MI. He was born 12-8-1833 in Sliwice, Gross Schliewitz, Tuchola District, Bydgoszcz, POL. I would appreciate any info connected with Ambrose and his family. Hi Gregorz,
I am Gene. My wife and father-in-law are Ciechanowskis (Cechanowski). Their family comes from Lodz, at least Walentyn Ciechanowski was born there, together with 2 other brothers, Wladimir and Konstantyn. In marriage to Francheska Ockerko Walentyn had 2 kids - Wladimir and Yadwyga.

Would you have any leads to the above in your genealogical tree?
Thanks for eventually sending it to me to hondacivic1994@hotmail.com.
