Cid Family of the Virgin Islands
Looking for descendents of Manuel Cid from Galliria, Spain (B1788?-1867?) & Ramona Mary Mares of Galliria (1818?-1889?), Spain but living in St. Thomas, Danish Virgin Islands where they have the following children and are eventually burried. They have lots of children, some are Manuel Victoris Cid b1848-1909, Maria, Antonio, Ivan, Gregoria Josefa B 1855, Clemencia B1860, Francis b 1890?). Manuel Victoris Cid married Maria (or Mary) Villa Clara (1864-1930) They have Emily Beatrice Cid B1884-1960,Maria Justina, B1885, Louis Victoriannus, B1887, Francis Tyrannus, B1890, Raymunda (Ramona), B1892, Josephus, B1894, Florelia, B1898 and Aurora B 1900 all born in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Would like to make contact with any of the descendents of the above.

Hi, Emily Cid is my great grandmother, married to Herman Creque. I just started researching my family (Creque) but wanted to get more information on the Cid family side as well.

My name is Daniel Cid my Father is also Daniel Cid of the Domican Republic My grand dad tells of his grand dad and two brothers from spain that made their way caribian and then seperated in the Virgin Islands. If you have more info Please let me know I would be very interested. I am olive skin dark hair some say I have a midle eastern look. My uncles are a bit lighter than I with lighter eyes but we all look very similar. I now live in N.Y.

I think they used two last names in those days. The mothers first then the Fathers last. So it would look like this . Francisco Ramona Cid but from the Dominican Republic.. Just a short boat ride away.

Hi, My name is Daniel Cid. My grandfather was Antonio Cid and he was born I think the date you have listed. Not only that but my Grandmother was born shortly after that and Is still alive and lives in the house Antonio Cid built for her family. My grandfather Antonio had six children with my grandmother (his second wife) and I am the son of his youngest child. Antonio is still one of our family names that is shared as a middle name for my brother, 2 cousins and 1 uncle. I'm amazed on how much you know about the Cid family in the Virgin Islands.

Hi, my name is Vernice Cid and my grandfather was Antonio Cid's his first wife Irene Cid. My grandfather Antonio had 5 children with my grandmother Irene Cid. I fInd out that other side the Cid family and I met to my uncle Dj Cid from Virgin Islands. But I did't know about our grandfather Antonio Cid Sr is passed away. I need to know about our grandfather Antonio Cid's parents and I guess. Please let me know.
