AUSTINTOWN – Prayers will begin Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for William Ciccarelli, 84, who passed away Thursday, Dec 20, 1012 at St. Elizabeth Health Center from complications from a recent fall and pneumonia.
William was born March 25, 1928, in Youngstown, Ohio a son of the late John and Frances (Pachell) Ciccarelli.
He was a 1948 graduate of Chaney High School and was inducted into the school’s Football Hall of Fame in 1998.
William worked at RJ Bertelli Homes as a cement finisher and tile setter for many years.
He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and the Plaster and Cement Masons Union.
William enjoyed getting together monthly with his classmates and loved fishing and golfing with his grandchildren.
His wife, the former Doreen A. Yohman, whom he married Sept. 30, 1950, passed away Nov. 6, 2011.
He is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Lou) Rendes of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, Diane (Charles) Reinhart of Mineral Ridge, and Doreen Fryman of Austintown, OH; a sister, Rose Ciccarelli of Youngstown, OH; a brother-in-law, Jerry (Jean) Yohman of Apollo Beach, FL.; four grandchildren, Jill (Mike) Fabian, Trisha Crawford, Bill (Pam) Reinhart, and Mark Rendes; and two great-grandchildren, Sophia Reinhart and Samara Fabian.
William was also preceded in death by three sisters, Theresa Kiren, Ann Dombelek and Rita Ciccarelli, and two brothers, Jake and Dominic Ciccarelli.
Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
