Poggiomorello is just East of the general area that I'm currently researching. I did a quick search and found a Nunziata DiMichele daughter of Domenico di Michele and Eleonora Piccioni who was born March 26, 1833. It can be found on www.familysearch.org as part of batch no c841114. If you have not already done so, you may want to take a look at the actual film from the LDS church which may give more information as to who the parents of Eleonora and Domenico may be. Hope this helps. Please feel free to contact me if you are not familiar with the familysearch.org site. (It is free)

Settecerri is a frazione in the commune of The Valle Castellana. It's not too far from Ascoli Piceno, up in the mountains.

-------

This morning I launched a new Facebook Group called "VALLE CASTELLANA DESCENDENTS - ENGLISH SPEAKING."

I was thinking it would be nice to have a Facebook group for people whose families come from Valle Castellana and speak English. Sort of an "alumni" group, where people can connect with others from The Valle Castellana.

I'm also hoping to put some posts & photos (in English). Maybe even a recipe or two.

For those who have never visited the Valle Castellana, this will be a great way to learn about it from your own home!

For those of us who've been there, it'll be a place to share our fond memories.

Come join us!

Hi Joanne,

My husband Lawrence Picconi's grandfather was Luigi Piccioni from Ascoli Piceno. He had a brother Emidio Picconi who had children named: Joe (probably Giuseppe), Victor, Mary, Norman "Glitch" , Nazarene, Lee, Anna, Gloria, and Remo. Could you please tell me if you think these are your relatives.
