I am searching for any information on the Cibulka line. My Great Grandfather was Josef Cibulka b. 1825, m. Anna Flegel (Flegle) b.1832 approx. Immigration shows they came to the US in 1869 from Bremen, Germany. My grandfather Rudolph Cibulka was born in WI in 1875. Anyone, please help.

I know that Wenzel Flegel (1821-1907) married Ludmilla Cibulka (1826-1916) in Bohemia. He and his wife and six children immigrated in 1867, and settled in Kewaunee County WI. You don't say where Josef Cibulka and his wife Anna Flegel settled in Wisconsin, nor where your GF was born in Wisconsin.

Josef Cibulka (1825-????) was born in Bohemia; immigrated to the US in 1869 and settled in Kewauee,WI. He, Anna and their 3 children all immigrated together and my GF, Rudolph A. Cibulka, Sr. was born in 1875 in Kewaunee. My father and family are very vague on the family history. I was told by a cousin that my GGGF's, Josef Cibulka, parents were killed by the plague and he was raised by priests before marrying Anna and immigrating to the US. Some of my family still reside in Kewaunee. I am starting my search with extremely vague information and knowing that Ludmilla may have been my GGGF sister may clear up why the name Ludmilla keeps coming up in conversations. I would appreciate any help you can give. Thank you.

Thanks to your email, re: Wenzel Flegel and Ludmilla Cibulka; I just found out from some relations of Josef Cibulka (my gr gr grandfather) that Ludmilla was his sister. Josef Cibulka was born in Bohemia about 1825. He immigrated to the US with his wife and 3 of children in 1869 through New York and settled in Kewaunee County, WI where my grandfather Rudolph Cibulka was born. Family lore says Josef's parents died of the plague and he was raised by an Uncle Antonin (sp??) in a seminary. Do you have any infomation in this regard. As I said any information would be appreciated.
