Joseph Ciampa was my grandfather. He was born somewhere in Italy. He married Louise Buonapane also from Italy. They lived in East Boston, Massachusetts. I am trying to do a family tree for a school project and the family ends here. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Yvonne, I was MY Family and put in my daughters husbands name and up came the Ciampa Site. My son-in-laws grandfather was Vincent Ciampa Sr. and was from the east I believe. He moved to Arizona for his wifes health. He died last year at 86 yrs. Did your Grandfather have a brother Vincent or maybe they are cousins. I will tell my son-in-law about the site. They live in California and I am writing to you from Yakima, Washingon. Good luck with your research. Barb

I have Ciampas in my family tree going back a few generations. They came from the Avellino province, primarily the town of Montefalcione. If you live in East Boston then your ancestors must be from this town as well?

I have a cousin, Pagliuca, who lives in East Boston.

Hi Charlene, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Had some family matters that had to be taken care of. I believe my grandfather did have a sister Theresa. My mom is going to get back to me. Will try and get back to you soon. Thanx for replying.

Ciao,

I don't know exactly where in the town they came from, but my great great grandmother was Maria Palma Ciampa. She was born in the 1850s. I have a picture of her that she to her daughter, my great grandmother when the family moved to the US.

If there is someone you are looking for in the Boston area, let me know and I will try to look them up.

Mike.

Hi Michael,

I live in England, but my dad (Giuseppe) and his 7 brothers and sisters were born in Montefalcione. My grandmother (my dad's mum) still lives there. I presume then that we must be related somewhere along the line !
