My great grandparents also changed their name from Ciampa to Champa. They were from Pratola Serra Italy. Giuseppe Ciampa (Joseph Champa) and Antonia Tenneriello Ciampa (Antoinette Champa) settled in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Giuseppe also believed to have a brother Feliciano Ciampa (Felix Champa) settling in the Boston area.

My great-great grandfather came over from Naples...I have a gap of 20 years before he settled in SC...i'm thinking he went to NY and left to go down south to avoid the draft. He had 6 children all of whom were put into an orphanage

I know a descendent of the Feliciano Ciampa you speak of, the one who settled in Boston. His name is Michael Felix Ciampa. Michael lives in Templeton, MA; he should be easy enough to locate. And he loves delving into the family tree. His e-mail is mfciampa@earthlink.net

Hi, Iam currrently doing our family tree. If anyone has any of the following information ring a bell or has a cross match ,please contact me at pugcrazy@bit-net.com. The Ciampa's in our family that I know of are: Nicola Ciampa who was the parent of Giovani Ciampa who married a Rosina. Giovani and Rosina had at least MAria Antonia Ciampa who married a Vincenzo Iantosca (Antosca, or Yantosca were given as well as names when the families arrived in USA) and Giovani and Rosina also had a daughter Rosina Battista married Gaetano Iantosca. Iam also not sure of this but I believe Vincenzo and Gaetano's sister Concetta married a Frank Ciampa and had Donda Ciampa, Johnny Ciampa, and a Suzie Ciampa. I have no further information on Concetta's line.

Would any of them be related to a Frank CIampa, Maria Antonia Ciamp or Rosina Battista Ciampa from around Montefalcione , Italy near Naples. These Ciampa's came to US around the end of the 1800's to the beginning of the 1900's. If any of this cross matches please post a posting and I will check often. Thanks, Ann

Heh thats my father, Michale Felix Ciampa that is, he would really like to hear from anyone interested in family history since he has spent much time trying to figure out his own family history. Come to think of it I too am intersted in any family history that may be related to my family as well.

My great-grandfather named Bartolomeo Ciampa and he had 14 children, including Louis Anthony Ciampa, my grandfather. They lived in Saugus, Mass on Bristow Street. Do these names fit into anyone's ancestry? My grandfather married Evelyn Cogliano in the late 1930's/early 1940's.
