I saw Avellino in one of the replies.

My dad is from Fontanarosa(?), my grandfather was named Salvatore. Don't know much beyond that like my grandmother's maiden name.

My dad does have 8 siblings...well, 7 now, one of my uncles passed away a couple of years ago.

I ran into a guy who is currently 50 years old, turning 51 on September 16 of this year. His full name is Thomas Angelo Ciampa, and used to live in Boston area. Now he has moved down to So. Florida. He has a home with a swimming pool, he tends to float a lot in the pool and fall asleep. He also has serious back problems, that require addiction to painkillers to manage the pain. He refuses surgery, for fear of being paralyzed.

He spends a lot of his time in a program called Second Life, known as 'Anthony Colo'. I knew him briefly months ago, and then again more recently when I used the SL program again. He speaks broken English, and has 4 kids from 4 different mothers, all illegitimate. Had never been married and is currently single in real life.

Any of this sound familiar?

He used to work Construction in Mass area, and has a daughter in Boston I believe. I really didn't know him that well, he has some mental issues making it difficult to communicate with him for any length of time. He recently cut off all contact because of an obsession with a young, dysfunctional female who insisted he drop all 'friends' in Second Life to be involved with her. Her name on Second Life is Busa Denimore.

Just wondering if anyone here knows this guy. He claims he is a convicted felon, and was incarcerated for assaulting a police officer. He also went through a VA alcohol rehab program, inpatient 30 days a long time ago. He currently has issues with narcotics addiction, and to be honest he seems to have problems with lying pathologically. He claims he beat up 3 people so badly that he sent them all to the ICU, yet never was arrested or prosecuted for those crimes. I personally have witnessed a great deal of serious thought distortion, and twisting of reality. He claims 'only real men are in prison'. Has a tendency to justify abusive behavior. Lies considerably as well.

Ex-Marine also for many years. This guy seems friendly, but can turn on a dime. I recently had to break off all contact after his abusive behavior in the Second Life software program. He will hurt people, and at one point even threatened to 'rape me' in the software program. I had to report the rape threats of him and his 'partner' in Second Life, Busa Denimore.

Since this thread is dealing with the name Ciampa, was curious if anyone knows this guy. And has noticed as many serious mental issues as I have online. Is he at all dangerous in real life?

Thanks..

I have ancestors from Montefalcione also. Ignazio Ciampa, born about 1854 m. Carmela Colella, they had at least 3 children, maybe more - Angelo Raffaele Ciampa, Gaetano Ciampa, and Pasqualina Ciampa whom I think may have married a Fabrizio.

Any of these strike a bell?

My mother was a Ciampa. The Ciampa's came from Avellino provence near Naples. A lot of them settled in the Revere and Saugus area. From what I learned, most came from either Bonito or Malforte (???) My grandparents were Vincenzo and Angelina Ciampa.

My grandmother, Guissepina Ciamps born around 1881 was from Frigento. She married Donato Montecalvo, and they settled in Chelsea, she died in 1915 after childbirth, probably 10 years after she immigrated to the U.S.

Hello Joe,

Yes, you are correct about Angelo marrying Filippa (they were my grandparents as well). But Grandpa's father was Guiseppe and mother was Maria De Pasquale.

What did you find at the library?

By the way, this is Frank's daughter Stacy (the middle one).

Hi John,

It is so great to see people talking about our family. This is Stacy, Angelo's granddaughter (Frank's 2nd child). Your sister is Pidgy, right?

Interesting about my grandparents getting together...
