I Know my Grandfather, Domenico, Came over in 1921. He settled in the Bronx, NY and a branch of the family, (Cialino) settled in Staten Island. There are also Cialinis in PA around Philly. My Granfather's name was Giovanni I believe. Hope this helps. I am trying to find more info about our history as well. My Grandfather was from Bellante in Teramo I believe.

My grandfather Biagio settled on Staten Island. I think I still have cousins in Teramo Italy and Giulianova, Rino and Maria Cialini, their daughter Melena and son Marco, I think their municipality was Civitella Del Tronto.

Hi, i came across this posting as i was doing research on my family. I saw that you posted that your grandfather Biagio settled on Staten Island. My grandmother (Jennie D'Alessio) had a sister Antoinette who married Biagio. My father (John Gambardella) was very close with his cousins George, Vincent and John.

I was wondering/hoping you could help with the family tree.

I hope you get this message.

Thank you
Billy

My husband's grandfather was Cesare Cialini. He came to this country from Teramo in 1904. In 1911, he sent for Julietta (Guileta) Palermi who lived in Villa Penna north of Terramo. She became his wife and they had 11 children - 8 who reached adulthood. They originally lived in Cresson, PA but soon moved to an area just outside Rochester, NY.

I found your post related to Villa Penna and I wanted to share some information with you. The oldest record I discovered for my family (Recchilongo) dates back to Villa Penna in 1708. I took a quick look at copies of records I collected and found three people with the surname Cialini.
Gianbernardino b. 1797 (as a witness on a birth record for Gennaro Recchilongo b. 1834
Maria b. 1797 ( on her birth record) f. Joseph Cialini m. Domenica Tassoni
Felice b.1803 ( as a witness on a birth record for Gaspare Recchilongo b. 1836

Let me know if you would like copies of these or any other Cialini records I have. I visited Villa Penna twice and on one trip I was able to get into the town church San Martino.
