H,
I'm going to give you some information about my family.
I have been doing a lot of genealogy, my dads family are all go, I only have younger cousins who are second and third, from the Ciafardoni side. My dad didn't remember much of his early days in Italy. I have photos of a street in Giulianova with our name and also a Villa. I also know that my grandfathers were property owners in Italy. Would you know anything about this?
My great great great grandfather was Don Nicola Ciafardoni he married Donna Elena Mandocchi, they had one son my great great grandfather, Don Vincenzo Ciafardoni, he married Donna Anna Vittoria Mascitelli, they had 7 children Teresa who marriage Don Luigi Paolini, Marianna who married Don Carmine Antania Marian, Gaetano (1810-1811), Barone Gaetano who married Santa Tiburzi, Maria Elena (1814-1814) Maria Elena who married Don Egidio Bruschio, then my great grandfather Don Giovanni Luca who Donna Maria Grazia Rosalia Gimignani, they had 3 children Cecilia (1848-1852), Marianna (1862-1862) then my grandfather Gaetano Pietro Nicola who married my grandmother Simpera Di Luigi, they had 5 children Maria (1890-1892) Ida Teresa Anna who married Vincenzo Regi, Gialluca Franceseco Vincenzo who married Amelia Basile, my father Mario Giuseppi Vincenzo who married (my mother who was born in the United States, Maria Buonacuore), Maria (1905-1905)
Hope this can help you! Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks Rita
Hope to hear from you soon!

Surnames: Ciafardoni, Cianelli, Cinelli
I believe that the Thomas Ciafardoni who emailed you may be a cousin. My father was Henry. One of his brothers was Fred. My grandmother was named Lattanzi (Anna). She was married to Ferdinando and they wound up living in the Bronx. I don't believe there were 10 children, but I could be wrong. The girls were Loretta, Beatrice, and the boys were Joseph, Henry, Italo (who died as a teenager) and Fred.
If all of this pans out, I would like to hear from Tom; my email is rciaf@aol.com. Incidentally, I believe Fred's wife was also named Anna, as was my mother (Henry's wife). This is another thing that makes looking up my family so difficult, having three Anna Ciafardoni to deal with. Also, Beatrice, Loretta and Joseph were born in Motiano Terranova, Abruzzia. Italo and Fred were born in the Bronx, but I cannot locate where my father was born, Italy or USA.
Also, Joseph Loretta Beatrice and Henry's names were also Cianelli. Joes was changed by immigration to Cinelli. I believe Beatrice, Henry and Italo were adopted by Ferdinando Ciafardoni. Loretta was already married when this happened, so she was never called Ciafardoni.
Please let me know.
