Hi Joe. I believe we are related as my father, Gerald, was one of Benjamin and Philomena(Rose) Catagnus' sons from Norristown. My great grandparents were Philip and Nancy Catagnano who suposedly had a tobacco shop in Norristown. I have been told that we are from Sciacca as well. I don't have much information other than that. I would like to find out who their families were back in Sciacca. Please let me know if you hace any info about our family here or abroad. Thanks.

Hai,

I was born in Sciacca and now live in The Netherlands (Holland. In Sciacca there are a lot of Ciaccio's and I am from the Cucuzzede (I don't know if you write it this way) but cucuzza is a vegetable and they gave different family's with the same name a nickname.

Hi Maureen!
Hopefully this finds you! My father, Robert Ciaccio's aunt and uncle were ceil and jim. His father, Charles Ciaccio was Jim's brother. Uncle Jim and aunt Ceil (they are my great aunt and uncle)lived on Coyle Street in brooklyn. My grandma, Jim's sister in law, and Jim's sister Josephine also lived on the same block. When I was very young, we used to visit and my brothers and sisters and I would go down the block and visit aunt Josephine, and then Uncle Jim and Aunt Ceil. I do not remember their boys, but remember Caroline only slighty. I believe she was special needs.
I will contact my dad and see if there is any more info for you. My email is christineciaccio68@gmail.com. Hope to speak to you soon!
