Gordon A Chynoweth, 58, of Richfield, Utah, passed away October 6, 2005. He was born July 28, 1947, in Richfield, Utah, to Herman and Alma Jolley Chynoweth. He married Karen Poulson in Richfield on November 29,1969. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on December 3, 1977. Gordon was a loving husband to his wife, Karen. He was an involved, loving and caring father to his sons Carson and Matt and their spouses Jamie and Nicole. His grandchildren, Mercades and Tayden, were the light of his life. Gordon was a kind, loyal friend to many dear and thoughtful people. He was generous with his time and talents to his ward members, family, friends and neighbors. Gordon was a thoughtful, concerned son to his mother Alma, and to his father-in-law, Mel Poulson. He is survived by his wife, Karen, Richfield; sons, Carson McKay (Jamie) Chynoweth, Provo; and Matthew "Matt" (Nicole) Chynoweth, Spanish Fork; grandchildren, Mercades and Tayden; mother, Alma Ogden, Richfield; father-in-law, Mel Poulson, Richfield; brother, Lynn (Mary Kay) Chynoweth, Richfield; and a sister, Kay (Leo, deceased) Brunson, Richfield. He was also preceded in death by his father, Herman. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 10, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the Richfield 11th LDS Ward Chapel, 985 South 400 West. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, in Richfield, on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
