CHLEBEK surname

Surnames: CHLEBEK, KLUSKA
I would like to contact people with the Chlebek surname all over the world and find out where they came from. There are many Chlebeks in Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, United Kingdom, Canada and the USA. In Poland Chlebeks are concentrated in the Rzeszow, Podhale and Katowice areas.

In the USA I'm looking for the descendants of John (Jan) Chlebek and Agnes (Agnieszka) Miernicka and John's sister Karolina Chlebek who was married to Jakub Kluska. They came to Pennsylvania, USA from Czarny Dunajec in the Podhale region of Poland.

Hello from Michigan!

I am researching my great grandmother, Frances Chlebek, daughter of John Chlebek and Josephine Sikorski. Any of these name sound familiar? My Chlebek, had a daughter, Virginia, who had children, Sondra and David. Virginia married Herbert (hub) Gerke.

Hello Tracy!

Do you have more information on John Chlebek? Who were his parents and what was his DOB? Maybe I will be able to find a connection if I know more. Thank you for your message.

Take care!

Grandpa (Don) was born in the U.S. He's on vacation right now with grandma (Gloria). He has a younger brother Richard, married to Harriet (who has 5 daughters... they all grew up in Northern Indiana/Southern Michigan). He also has a sister, Henrietta. When Grandpa gets back from vacation (end of Feb or beginning of March) I'll be sure to get some info.
P.S. He said our name used to be Chlebowiak ( hleboviak ) prior to us comming over.

Hi Stan,
My late father's name was Jan Chlebek. He was one of 5 siblings born to Jan Chlebek and Maria Rucka and they come from Oldrichovice in the Czech Republic. Having sired mostly daughters or not having had children, the only surviving holder of the name Chlebek is our cousin Josef. Our surname was changed by deed poll after the Second World War when my parents decided to live in England.
We have the Ancestry software package, and would be interested in any connections you may be aware of at the level of my grandparents.
