Dear Mr.Rob Charlton!
Thank you for answering my posting on the ancestry board. My ancestors came from the Podhale region of southern Poland. There are many Chlebeks in the Podhale area of Poland and also in the Rzeszow and Katowice areas. I found Chlebeks in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. So far I have information going back to 1624, but I have not been able to make a direct connection to the Chlebeks in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. That is also true concerning the 3 areas of concentration in Poland. I’m hoping that DNA testing will be helpful in the future to connect all the Chlebeks. I’m thinking about doing one test to see how successful this may be. How far back does your information go? I know that there are some Chlebeks in Texas who originate in Polkovice, Czech Republic. You might find a more direct connection there. Keep in touch!
