I am curious about the Chipman family of Delaware.

Looking at Levi Walcott Chipman (Junior?) Civil War pension file, so far I see no parental information or city of birth. It says he is born in Kent County Delaware. June 22 1844 IIRC.

Why would he not give his city, even when asked again in his old age?

Is there any proof of his birth out there? I have a Levi Chipman Senior as his father. Delilah Cook as his mother. Any proof?

What about before Levi Chipman Senior? Is there any connection to the Mayflower family Howland and Tilley? Any proof? Mayflower Society does not accept the books authored by Chipmans.
