I am still digging to get a wider view of my family (given my mother is the last of the family, etc. and her memory is becomming less reliable).
I have no specific information on Joseph's death other than what was passed down my family. Joseph's Wife (my mothers grandmother) spent the last years of her life looking after my mother and my aunt. The stories therefore that my mother have are from this direct route.
I have attached a couple of items (marriage photo of Henry and Evelyn and local newspaper snippet). Grateful if you could confirm that these are the same individuals we are talking about - i.e. never heard the name Doris in reference to Evelyn before.
Any further information that you may have on my mothers uncle Henry would be extremly welcomed as you can appreciate (especially any decendents, etc.).
I am also intrigued as to why you posted the original item against Joseph
Chipchase, given you said that you are not related but were a friend of Henry.
Happy to give you access to the tree I am compiling at the moment if this is of interest to you, etc. Early picture of Henry in his army days - I have always been likened to him for some reason (mainly my mother and aunt's memory of him).
