Hello everyone =) I'm looking for some info on my mother's father; Ronald Chipchase. She hasn't seen him since a couple years after her birth. She's 39 right now going on 40 this year. Both her and I (I'm 17) are interested in what's happened with him and such. Unfortunatly, all I know about the history of my last name is that it orginated in Northern England around Northumberland and/or around Newcastle. Any information would be appreciated! ^_^

dont know ronald but the chipchase name comes from a castle on the outskirts of county durham sorry i couldnt help more we know nothing about my dads dad as he could have been adopted. good luck with your search claire chipchase

I knew of a Ronald Chipchase living close to Newcastle. He is an Architect probably in his early 70's now. Not sure if that helps. If it fits you can probably find more info on the RIBA web site.

I worked for "chippy's" practice for a number of years so i new this chap quite well. I didnt know about his earlier years but at this he at the time had a wife called Doreen and a son called Maxwell. Max is probably in his early thirties. I think chippy retired about 6 years ago but his practice name is still running and they are i believe based in Gateshead UK. Not sure if he has any involvement.
I believe his home was on Thornhill Road, Forest Hall, Newcastle. You could try 192.com for electoral information good luck.
This is a bit of a long shot but there is a dj in london called max chipchase and i think he fronts north star entertainments. Worth checking out as i know max lived in London and was into music

Oh my god that's him. My mother used to talk about her half brother Max and how her dad's nickname is Chippy. Absolutly incredible to run into you here. I can't thank you enough but...well, thanks! The only reason I've been trying to find info on him is because he hsa completly ignored my mom's existance all these years.
