Gregory Dean Chewning
57, a former resident of Wintersville, Ohio, and more recently a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Friday, May 31, 2013 near his home.
He was born Wednesday, May 2, 1956 in Canton, Ohio, (Stark County) a son of Sydney Curtis Chewning and Edith Wamsley who survive in Canton.
Gregory is survived by his son, Geoffrey Chewning of Louisville, Ohio; his daughter, Heather DiAngelis and husband, Tony, of Ashburn, Va.; two brothers, Curtis Linn Chewning of Canton, Ohio and Dwight D. Chewning and wife, Jean, of Medina, Ohio; and one niece, Alena Chewning.
Gregory was a graduate of Oakwood High School with the class of 1974.
He had taken several college courses at the University of Akron, and he recently retired from Sears where he had worked as an appliance salesman.
He enjoyed reading, working with his hands, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from Noon until 2 p.m., the funeral hour.
Interment will follow at the Jerusalem Cemetery on the Adolph Road.
