Hi, Myname is William Chesher and my father's name was Reginald Chesher, and his father, Alfred Chesher immigrated to Canada form England. My grandfather Alfred was born in Hertingfordbury, Hertfordshire , England. Before coming to Canada, he worked as a machinist in the Enfield rifle works in Enfield. There are many Cheshers in and around Hertingfordbury and the city of Hertford. My grandfathers fatrher's name was William John Chesher and his mother was Emma. My grandfather alfred settled in Toronto. I do not believe your Cheshers and mine are related.
