Chastain DNA may hold key to Alzheimer's Research!!

Classification: Query
Surnames: Chastain, Chastaine
Chastain DNA may hold the key to important Alzheimer's research.
A simple blood sample sent to the researcher(s) at Emory University can help.

Right now, for obvious reasons, they are only interested in those who carry the Chastain
surname. They are studying descendants of Pierre Chastain, but I think even without a clear
traceable lineage back to him, if you were born with the Chastain surname, they will be interested.

I found this particularly interesting because I y-DNA tested my Smith father & 1 of our 3 closest matches was a Smith line that somehow tied into this same Pierre Chastain. I have not yet
figured out how exactly that Smith line is related or if I descend directly from this Pierre Chastain.
Even though I don't have the Chastain surname, it is still fascinating whether I am related to him or not.

And as my husband's father had Alzheimer's, this might be the only thing that remotely interests
him about genealogy so far.

Please share this link & information with others, especially if you are or know any by the
surname Chastain.
