George Champlin was an 8th generation Champlin in America. His line of descent being: Jeffrey (1), Christopher (2), William (3), Elijah (4), William (5), Samuel (6), William Elisha (7), George (8).

Geoge had one son, Frederick who died before his 2nd birthday - so the surname died out in this particular line 130 years ago. There were 4 daughters born in the 1870's. I do not know the names of any possible descendents of these daughters.

I am a descendent of Jeffrey (1), via son Jeffrey (2) so I'm a distant cousin. I am very interested in the family genealogy so the Bible is of some interest to me.

We are having a large Champlin gathering in Rhode Island between June 23-26, 2003. There are at least three people coming who are descended from William Elisha (7) via George (8)'s brother Ebenezer Champlin.

I'd be happy to pass on the particulars of the Bible and how to purchase it (price, etc) to these people if you'd like.
