My gr gr gr grandfather was Jacob Chadd who left Ohio with his family and started for Iowa. He had some family in Indiana and Kentuckey. Jacob died near Ottumwa, Ia., short of his destination which was St. Charles, Ia., which is south of present day Des Moines.
