M. Jean Davis Cesario, 88, of Bullskin Township, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Cesario was born May 9, 1921, in Hammondville, a daughter of the late Edward and Mattie Falkenstien Davis. Jean was a lifelong resident of Hammondville and faithful member of Paradise United Methodist Church. She was a life member of the Bullskin Ladies Auxiliary and also the Sons of Columbus. Prior to her retirement, Jean worked as a supervisor for the former Westmoreland Manufacturing Co. She loved crocheting and was an excellent baker, always anxious to share her baked goods with family and friends. Jean was a loving mother and grandmother, and a special friend to many. She is survived by her loving family; her sons, Ronald W. Cesario and Tressa, Robert E. Cesario and Sandra, and Larry D. "Butch" Cesario and Debbie, all of Mt. Pleasant. She will be sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Domenick Cesario, in January 1998; her grandson, Dom Cesario, in 1997; and by her brothers and sisters, Charles, Earl, William, Raymond, Jesse and Ernest Davis, and Mildred Gordon, Blanche Kastner, Dorsie Davis, Mable Frey and Gladys Gunder. Jean was the last surviving member of her family. Jean's family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday in Paradise United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleasant, where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Charles Prevot, officiating. Private interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Mrs. Cesario's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. The family suggests memorials may be made to Paradise United Methodist Church, 105 Hoke Road, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666, in memory of M. Jean Davis Cesario.
