NILES - Florence “Flossie” Cera, 92, died Sunday morning, Oct. 12, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Ill.

She was born in Niles, Ohio May 11, 1922, the daughter of Herbert J. and Olive (Mason) Webb. She lived in Niles, Ohio (Trumbull County) most of her life and moved to Illinois in 2007, to live closer to her niece, Lillian Webb Mosier, who looked after her well-being until her passing.

A 1939 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and the Youngstown College School of Business, she retired in 1990, after working 23 years as a secretary at Butler Wick and Company in Warren, OH.
She was a member of the Niles First Christian Church and enjoyed traveling, reading and playing scrabble and bridge.
Flossie is survived by a granddaughter, Tina Cera Colantonio, and two great-grandchildren. Flossie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Cera Sr., whom she married Aug. 6, 1945, and who died Oct. 3, 2006; son John A. Cera Jr.; sister Elouise Stone Bright; and two brothers, William Harrison Webb and John M. Webb.

The funeral will be Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Entombment will be at Niles City Cemetery.
