Cendrowski in Plock Poland

My great-grandmother, Antonina (Koscienski) Oleksiak, emigrated from Plock Poland to New York in 1896. I just acquired her death certificate, and found that her mother's maiden name was Mary Cendrowski, married to Joseph Koscienski. Has anyone located any Cendrowski's in or from this region of Poland? It is not too far from Warsaw.

Hi!
Actually most of Cendrowskis lives in the nothern/western Mazowsze. The family originates somewhere there (http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/cendrowski.html).
Unfortunately since about 2-3 centuries my family has nothing to do with your ancestors, because mine left on this side of the border which was incorporated to Germany after the partitions of Poland. Yours on the Russian one.
Try to ask at http://genealodzy.pl/ or some other Polish sites.
Regards

Hello,

I have been researching my grandmothers origins. Her name was Stephanie (Stefanja) Grzybowska, and her arrival records indicate her mothers name was Bronislawa Cendrowska (female version of Cendrowski?), and she resided in Philadelphia, PA. Last residence was Brulin, Poland, outside of Warsaw, though she was born in Zambrow.

Perhaps there is a relation here? I cannot find any more information.

Greetings. I could not find either Brulin or Zambrow on the map of Poland (at http://mapa.szukacz.pl), so I can't tell how near or far those places are from Reczewo, where my folks came from. What date is on your grandmother's arrival records? And, her age on arrival? My great-grand-mother was born in 1860 and arrived in NY in 1896. I have been looking in the family history microfilms but have not been able to trace back her Cendrowski ancestors as yet. Bit of a brick wall.

Thank you, Stanislaw. Since my previous posting, I learned that my great-greatgrandparents Josef Koscienski and Marianna Cendrowska were married in Sierpc Parish in 1858. I also learned that Marianna Cendrowska, born in 1837 in Mieszczk, Sierpc Parish, was the daughter of Kazmierz Cendrowski and Marianna Porkuszewska (Korpuszewska) who were married in Bonislaw Parish in 1823, and who travelled extensively among a number of parishes between Sierpc and Lelice. Kazmierz Cendrowski was born around 1801 but I don't know where, or who his parents were.

Thank you, Stanislaw, for the transcription and the translation of the essence of my ggggrandparents marriage record. Thank you also for the links to maps showing where present-day Cendrowskis live. I was able to do some genealogy of the children of my Cendrowski ggggrandparents. There were 5 children born to this couple, of whom 3 died in childhood, one other (Maryanna) was my gggrandmother, and the last, a son Andrzej, lived long enough, at the least, to marry in 1865. Maybe he is the patriarch of one of those Cendrowski families, but I don't know enough Polish to attempt to find out. After Maryanna nee Porkuszewka died in 1840 shortly after the birth of Andrzej, Kazimierz re-married and had six more children, of whom three died in childhood, two others were girls, and there was one son, Maciej, whose fate is unknown to me.
