Rudolf Cender was born abt. 1887 in Poland he came to the U.S. in 1906. aparently but not in the info he made a home and went back to Poland to get his family because Bronislowa (his wife) came over in 1914 along with a son Raymond. Bronislowa was born abt 1889 in Poland. It appears she was known as Bessie to her children because that is what William put down on his social security application (Bessie Bronoslow to be excact) Raymond was born abt 1908 in poland then moving down the list we have Rudolf Jr born abt 1914 in New york, William born 1915? in New York and Royalia born abt 1918. the family lived in New York Richmond county in 1920. At that time only the children born in the U.S. and Rudolf Sr had citizenship for the U.S.

any other info would be great.

Cindy, you wrote that Rudolf Cender was born in Poland. Do you have more detailed information about City, parents etc.? The first name "Rudolf" is a typical german name i believe . Until now i had no information that Cender´s lived in Poland. Some of my ancestors lived in East Prussia (Masuren) It was until 1945 german and it is now part from Poland. On the other hand the population was often mixed (german/polnish)in this region.

Any other info would be great.

the only thing I'm postive in is that they lived in Poland. my mother in law's father was William. there is a story that ythe name was orginally ended in a ski but was shortened to Cender when they came to the U.S. My mother in Law has since passed away. and I have not found out what the whole name was or if it is even true. but they were for sure 99% they were from Poland it's self.
thanks,
cindy

Hello:
Joam Rykman would be the best source for information on the Cender family tree and/or history. She did somewhat of a family reunion a few years back that your Uncle Steve attended.
Your Dad was a hardworking man all his life, and contrary to Steve and my (brothers) conflicts with the law, Bill was an honest and solid person.
I don't know what your main interst is here, but there are many more Cenders added to the size of the clan, some intersting. Some, like William's (father) 11 kids, many have passed on, and what's left, would appear to be on there way.
If I can add anything to yoru endeavour here, please feel free to touch base with me (cope791@hotmail.com).
Peace,
Uncle Kenney
Philadelphia, Pa.

If you are Billy's son, then William Rodolph Cender is indeed your Grandfather.
