My name ist Bernd Cender and i live near by Hamburg in Germany. one of my hobbies is ancestry research. I´ve verbal information, that my ancestors were french people. They came in the 17th centurie to germany. i´m not sure, that´s true. Do you have any reliable information about your family roots?

Regards

Cender family in Staton Island info

Posted: 1 Nov 2011 5:23PM GMT
Classification: Query
Surnames: Cender, Sanetra, Zulawska
I've been looking at this same Cender family in Staton Island. Please see this link below to my tree. I have Census, military & immigration records linked into the tree. I have not yet found any obits, newspaper articles, or anything about the people, which is what interests me most. I also have an add free blog, dedicated to trying to connect & reunite my Polish family separated from orphan situations, war etc. Rudolph Cender was married to Bronislawa Sanetra. They were from Zywiec-Zablocie Poland. From what I can see, Rudolph Cender came to America first, then Bronislawa & their son Raymond immigrated together. Bronislawa's mother was named Anne. (Not sure of her mother's maiden name.) Then Bronislawa's sister Franciszka Sanetra comes. Later, Bronislawa's cousin, Helena Zulawska comes to visit. Very curious about that relationship.
Sanetra, Cender, & Zulawska are all family names for me, they are all traveling from Zablocie, same time and place as my family. Rudolph Cender & Bronislawa Sanetra seem to be the ones welcoming our family into the country.
My family is still missing a Bronislawa Sanetra who immigrated, 100 years ago. But I know this Bronislawa is not my missing Bronislawa. I do wonder if she heard about my missing relative though. There's still so much we don't know about our family, but I can't help thinking our families have to be related. I have been putting records in Ancestry.com & making connections in footnote.com (now 3fold. I have a tree on Ancestry for people I think are connected, but I can't prove connections yet. Here is the link to my Cenders in Staten Island. I sent off a photo request for tombstone pictures for William, & Raymond. That result of the tombstone pictures, are also in my tree. I was also sent a picture of Glaydy's tombstone, the writing on the back of William's tombstone.
