hi
I’ve come across your message posted long time ago. I found it quite interesting that there are some people having the same surname as mine. I am originally from Poland and mine family name is not very common back in Poland. Just wondering if he was any relation to me the poor chap who died few years ago. My grandfather died ( still the same surname) few years ago in Poland. They from generation lived there(central Poland) and owned farms.

Hello Joseph, I am looking for information on my ancestors who lived near Zbojna, Lomza, Poland. Do you have any family in that area?

Hi there!
I received your message. And actually it came as a bit of a suprise. My father was born in that area. It is somewhere close to Lomza. But this place is called WYK and the nearest town is Kuzie. Thre's still big part of his family I think. My grandfather died there few years ago aged 94 as far as i remember.
I saw some of them last time on my father's funeral.
I dont know if it was any help.
Good luck

Hi Joseph, There must be a relationship. My ancestor's town of Ruda Osoweicka is only about 12K from Kuzie. My ancestor was Stanislaus Czekala or Cekala and most of his children were baptized in the Roman Catholic Church in Nowogrod between 1869 and 1881. I have located a Cekala woman who is from Ruda but living in Rutki. Her father died quite some time ago and she has no history of the family. Do you know if there was a Stanislaus and Victoria Bednarczyk in your family the last half of the 19th century? My ancestor immigrated to Chicago about 1889-1891. Thanks for any help.

The coming from "Wyk" in your message caught my eye. My great-grandfather, Jozef Stachelski came from there. Any idea of how big it is/was?
