My gg-grandmother was Jozefa Ceglarska Grondkowski/Gronkowski/Gronek, who arrived in the USA in 1903 from Jaksice, Poland--near Inowroclaw. (1842Poland-1933 Milwaukee, WI)

Also in Milwaukee was a Ceglarski family who I believe to be related, because they and our Groneks appeared as godparents for many baptisms. I think that my Jozefa and Jozef/Joseph could be brother and sister. Please contact me if you know this Milwaukee family:

Joseph Ceglarski
(1840 Poland-1916 Milwaukee, WI)
his wife, Maryanna (1843 Pol-1916 Milwaukee)

son: Joseph Ceglarski (1890 Pol- )
daugh.: Frances (1879 Pol-1916) + Alojzy Jozef Pruss (1874-1955)

Thaddeus J. Pruss (1898-1988)
Adelia (1899- )
Skolastyka Wanda (1901- )
Alois Adam (1912-1973)

I am not sure if the people in question were relatives or friends.

I just found a holy card for a Sophie Pruss (1894-1976). When I looked her up in the Catholic Cemeteries, she was buried next to a Thaddeus Pruss, who was originally mentioned in the first part of this thread. I think the Thaddeus I found is the same as the one you mention. If so, do you know who your Thaddeus married and what her maiden name was?

Sophie Maychrzycka married Thaddeus Pruss in July 1923. They had a daughter, Camille. Thaddeus's mother was Frances Ceglarski Pruss.

Alright, now I am stumped. It is not the Sophie I expected it to be. I do not know how either Sophie or Thaddeus were connected to my family. All I know is someone (probably my grandmother Eleanor Redjinski Repinski) went to Sophie's funeral.

My mother-in-law passed away recently and we were going through old pictures and other memorabilia. She was a daughter of Scholastica (Pruss) Suhr. Scholastica had 5 children - Geraldine, Audrey, Dorothy and Marlene (with Otto Suhr) and Reinhard Kufalk Jr (with Reinhard Kufalk).

Hello Elena--thank you for responding--My sympathies for your loss. Last week I saw her death notice in the newspaper. By a great coincidence I live in Hayward and teach at the Northwood School in Minong, so I receive the Spooner paper. I had no idea there were relatives in the area.
