Hi there:

I am Patrick Michael Ceaser; my Father is John Samuel Ceaser (born Sask/Canada - 1923)

Could it be we're related, and/or researching the same family tree - you never know?

The farthest I can trace back my Father's decendants at the moment is:

Father: Hugh Ceaser (born mid-late 1800's), likely from Belfast, County "Antrim" (not sure of the spelling)
Mother: Euphamia (maiden name=Ash(e)), likely from Bally Robin (or even Cork) - again , not sure of the spelling here

These are my Father's parents, the only clue I have is that they came to the States from Ireland on a ship sometime between 1911 and 1913.

It's very likely there are many of Hugh's brothers/sisters decendants still in the US with this spelling of 'Ceaser'. It may be possible this spelling had changed throughout the years - do you know?

I apologize if I am being too forward in this email, it's just that I am new to geneology research and I'm very excited about finding my roots.

If you have any information, links etc. that could help, I will really appreciate it.

Thankyou

Patrick Michael Ceaser

I am also searching for information about the
Ceaser family. My father's full name is
Robert Lee Ceaser and his father's name is
Madison Ceaser. My father was born in New
Orleans, LA but in his late 20's early 30's he
moved to Portland, Or. Where he now resides.
His family is from down south. His father (I
believe) was born in Virginia also his mother.
My father is 69. If you have anything that could
possibly help me let me know. I too am just
starting to look. Who knew the name Ceaser
was so common. Actually the spelling in my
family was changed on accident with my father.
The true spelling is Caesar. Hope this helps.

Hi my name is theresa mosby I am looking for any information on the ceaser surname. I have traced the ceaser name back through sw Louisiana to the original slave owner, however, I don't know where to go from there. The spelling of the name in Louisiana was cesaire. The spelling was changed once they got to Philadelphia in the 1920s. They were from Welsh La. My great grandfather's name was Leonard and he was born in la in 1871. He had two children Orine and Asa who is my grandfather. I have much more information, however, I want to trace back past the slave owner. If any of this information sounds helpful and you need more email me.

Please let me know if you think you're related to the Ceaser family line from Kilcross, Killead, Antrim, Ireland from at least 1793 - I think there is a whole other Ceaser line (where the name spelling has been recently changed to Ceaser) originating in the southern US states - I'm interested in the Irish Ceasers - any connections here?

Thanks
