A bit more.... Wesley Cearley was a blacksmith and also a minister of the Gospel, first pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Union Co. GA. He was born Oct. 28, in either 1830 or 1831 in Wilkes Co., NC, probably near the family home near Taylorsville. He died Jan 3., 1899 (or 1901) and is buried at Mt. ZionBaptist Church Cemetary, Union Co., (Ivy Log Community) GA. It is possible, but undocumented, that he moved with his parents and family to GA in the 1850's period due to a gold strike in that area. There are quite a few Cearleys / Kerleys in that area today, where GA, NC, and TN meet.
Wesley married Theresa Rebecca Bruce, of the area Bruce family. The Bruce family and Cearley family have intermarried several times. She was born September 4, 1824 in Habersham, GA, and died December 29, 1900 in Union Co. Ga. She is buried at the same church cemetary.
Together they had 9 children.

Hi again... Before I impart lots of names to you, perhaps you won't mind a suggestion from someone who has been doing this for 15 years.
When you make a post, you must be careful not to write things the way your brain says them.
For example, when you say, "Dewey is my mothers father her mother was Stella Ann Cearley", I know that you know what you mean. However I don't know if you mean that Stella Ann Cearley was Deweys wife, or mother, or your mother, etc.
If you are saying that Stella Ann Cearley (where Cearley is her maiden name) married Dewey Bruce, then it would seem that Dewey and Stella were likely cousins. This is not unusual, especially in the Cearley clan!
We see that your ggg-grandmoher Theresa Bruce has a brother named Robert B. Bruce. Robert B. Bruce married Catherine Campbell Cearley the sister of your ggg-grandfather Wesley Cearley.
So, are you looking for your mothers side of the Cearley clan, or your fathers side? If you are looking for more info on your mothers side, send me some details on her, like dates, as I have more than one Stella Cearley listed.
