Hi I recently got into this roots deal and I wam also from Mexico Native of the state of Sinaloa, North of Michoacan Mexico as many of you have mentioned to have ancestors from there...I come from the capital of Sinaloa which is where many of the Spanish landed when taking over the Indian lands and greater Part of the Southwest and I myself have found traces of Spaniards with my last name Cazarez spelled like that or as either of teh followeng version Cazares, or Casarez..I believe all of these are derived versions of the same last name Cazarre but not 100% sure. There are many Cazarez in the state of Sinaloa Mexico. Cazarez is also a name of a wild fruit tree or bush and also a last name of a small town maybe no longer in existence in the hills of Spain.
