The assignment of William who md. Luvecy as being the son of Peter Castleberry and Catherine Baker is a deduced connection. There were 4 William's born in about a five year period. They of course are all cousins, and who belongs to which father was SWAG'd from proximity, naming patterns, and other clues.

The identity of Richard Castleberry, if you are speaking of the one who was married to Anna Trice and died in Georgia, is very much more certain. Of the four sons of the emigrant, Heinrich Kesselberg, two are known to have a son Richard in that time frame. One of them, Paul, named his son in his will. That son is proven to have died before 1768 by court papers filed by his brother in Pennsylvania in that year. Richard who md. Anna Trice is the son of William Castleberry and his wife Margaret Davis, and is found with him throughout his sojourn through NC and down into Georgia.

Volume II of Castleberry and Allied Families may still be available from Dr. Jesse Castleberry, who may be reached at jcastleberry@cfl.rr.com
