My aunt on my mother's side, Agnes Belle Cassidy (deceased), has done some family research that I am trying to continue and verify. She shows a Robert Cassidy Sr., born in 1775, Loundon, VA, father James, mother Sarah, married Mary Lucinda Dodson.

My line follows Robert's son, Solomon, born in Blair County, PA. Solomon's son, George McLain Cassidy (was a shoemaker), born in Huntingdon Co., PA and died in Linn Co., MO. George's son, Solomon was my great grandfather.
