My great grandfather was Ramiro Cassaro, his father was Francisco Cassaro also. They too were from Alessandria. Francisco's wife was Rasalia Di Manueli Cassaro. My grandfather Ramiro lived in Largo Florida. I know he had numerous siblings (I can't remember all their names), I know that there was and Alexander, and Rose and I believe another Francisco, but not sure. So more than likely we are related.

My Grandfather "Joe Cassaro" cam from Sicily-I thought perhaps Palermo-not sure-he settled in Ohio (Cleveland, Bucyrus, Lima) he was born in 1894. His brother's name was Gaetano. If anyone has any information about Joe or Gaetano it would be appreciated.
this is updated March /2012 My Great grandfather was Antonio Cassaro and my Great Grandmother is Grace (Grazzia)Vedda Cassaro. Grace, Joe and Salvatore emmigrated to the US circa 1903. Tony and Gaetano came before them.

Leah- My maiden name is Cassaro.My great grandfather is Ignazio Cassaro born in Palermo in 1876.His wife was Angelina born 1889 in Sicily. He immigrated to USA in 1895 and she in 1903. I am interested to see how we are related and what you know of Ignacio's parents. Thanks.Judy Cassaro Bongiovi

my grandfather Sam Cassaro immigrated to New York from Canicatti Sicily. His family lived primarily in Upstate NY Gloversville NY. My mom was Angline Ann Cassaro born in NY in 1927. There is suppose to be a Cassaro family reunion in Bufalo NY next summer.

I am searching for ANY Cassaro family info related to Angelo Cassaro, b. 2-2-1894, in Italy, d. 10-1975, in US. He was married to Crusifica? Sanperry?, (not sure of spelling) but, she went by the name Cristinia. Angelo entered the US through Ellis Island in 1912. One of his daughters married a Marzullo and moved from Buffalo, NY to Mobile, AL.. Do you have anything on this family?

yes my grandmother is the one that lived in Buffalo and her sister is in Mobile. Do you know her? her name is Camella and her sisters are Genie and I forgot the other one but anyway I will forward her the email you wrote, she is online but not too good at it because she is 83years old. I'll call her soon and make sure she got it.

my great grandfather was angelo cassaro and he came from sicily. his wife was cristina. he lived in Buffalo NY do you know if this is the same one. did you know that there is a city called cassaro sicily. my great grampa was from a big family i wonder if there was more than one named angelo. They settled lower Manhattan in what was kind of lower "Greenwich Village". Grandpa Angelo also owned a house in Howard Beach, Queens. Wish I could say I remeber talk of Sebastiano or relatives in PA., but not so. Well, it was fun tring. Stay well.

Where did Angelo and Isabella settle in the US? My great grandfather, Sebastiano Cassaro came from Canicatti (presumably - the immigration record says Canscassi, but there's no such place that I can find. I think its mis-transcribed.)

He came over in 1913 and settled in Carbondale, Lackawanna County, PA (near Scranton - the coal mining region).

No mesmo navio (Maranhão) veio uma irmã da minha Bisavó chamada Concetta Cassaro, que ficou pouco tempo no Brasil e foi para a Argentina.

Hello:

My ggrandfather immigrated from Canicatti, Italy in 1909. His name was Sebastiano Cassaro b. 1885. He married Elizabeth Cerra in Carbondale, Lackawanna Co., PA. Children: Giovanna, Pasquale, Dominic and Rita.

I have naturalization papers for other Cassaro's immigrating to Luzerne Co during this time, too.

I was born in São Paulo ( Brazil), I´m 26 years old and I have 3 sisters and a brother.
My father name´s Antonio Carlos Cassarro.
My Grandmother ( Maria Angela Cassarro ), was born in Poços de Caldas ( a beautiful city in Brazil ). Her father name´s João Cassaro and her mather name´s Angela Balerini Cassaro. They have 11 childrens.
My last name spell with 2r´s, because, when my grandmother born, her father was register her but the person that didi it, wrote with 2 r´s.

I am not sure about any of it. I will have to call my grandma. Did your grandfather pass away? Give me a couple of days and I will let you know what I find out. It is very interesting I thought all the cassaros were on the west coast. I will let you know what I find out. I do know that my grandfather was from Sicily also. So please just give me a couple of days who knows we might be related.

I am from Tampa Fl and my Grandfather's name was Angelo Cassaro and my Greatgrandfather was Francisco Cassaro. I know they were from a small town in Sicily called Allesandro della Rocca in the province of Agrigento. My Grandfather had several brothers all of whom had offspring that my Mother has lost track of over the years. I know we have cousins in Buenos Aires and I am sure I have some in NE United States.If this sounds at all familiar to anyone please let me know.

I do genealogy on my husband's family. His great-grandfather was Ighnatzio Cassaro from Sicily, born in 1876. His mother's name was Josephine. He came to America and married Angelina DePace in 1919. They had four children. Do you think there's a connection?
